We know that Vegas is a party mecca.

Sin City revelers go around-the-clock having their fun.

But some of the partiers are hitting the prescription drugs too hard, and these users are high schoolers.

A recent workshop highlighted the new drug choices, and abuse trends.

According to the Las Vegas Review Journal pills are a popular choice for students within in the school system there.

“I can’t even put into words how common it is, kids selling their prescriptions at school,” said Clark County School District Police Officer Steve Ufford.

He also highlighted marijuana and a rising trend in synthetic marijuana use, also called k2 or Spice.

But this isn’t a case of what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

Vegas may be notorious for the all-night partying, but when it comes to this problem in schools, we are seeing a trend that’s happening everywhere.
