You can’t sneeze without hitting the Charlie Sheen circus.    He’s managed to topple Hugh Hefner‘s 50 year run as a wild man in a little more than month.

Charlie Sheen has revealed a lot over the course of a week with his interviews on ABC’s 20-20 and NBC’s Today.

Here’s a some select nuggets of his wild behavior:

“You borrow my brain for 5 seconds and just be like ‘dude can’t handle it unplug this bastard’ yeah because it just it fires in a way that’s just is um I don’t know maybe not from this particular terrestrial realm.”

He was also asked about being bi-polar and he gave this response:

“Wow what does that mean? Wow and then what? What’s the cure? Medicine? make me like them? Not gonna happen. I’m bi-winning. I win here and I win there. Now what?”

Charlie talked about his drug use:

“I was bangin’ 7 gram rocks and finishing them because that’s how I roll”

When asked about people who have died using drugs, he smugly gave this answer:

read the directions before they showed up for the party”

yet, when talking about his drug habit he says he did,  more than…anybody could survive

and

“it was epic the run I was on made Sinatra, Flynn , Jagger, Richards look like droopy eyed armless children….”

Sheen is crying out for help.    It’s incredible to think that this man is still alive, despite his drug induced activities.    Sitting at dinner last night, a group of men were talking about how envious they were of Charlie Sheen.    They bragged about his nannies, or as Charlie calls them, his Goddesses.

Charlie Sheen’s behavior is nothing to brag about.   He is a reminder of how drugs can damage a talented person.   Sheen once was an innocent teen, but has now spent years engaging in wild behavior.

No parent should have to endure a child that grows up and acts like this.   Myteensavers.com has all the answers you need to make a healthy and smart choice for your family’s sobriety.

The Teensavers team salutes the Drug Enforcement Administration today, following yesterday’s emergency move to restrict the leading chemicals to create Spice, K2, and other synthetic marijuana clones. “This was serious stuff. Some children were falling very ill using this synthetic marijuana,” says Teensavers Home Drug Test creator Steve Stahovich. The DEA ruling was released in Tuesday’s Federal Register. The order to place the five synthetic cannabinoids into the controlled substances act were necessary to avoid imminent hazard to the public safety. The entry went on to say, “as a result of this order, the full effect of the CSA and its implementing regulations including criminal, civil and administrative penalties, sanctions and regulatory controls of Schedule I substances will be imposed on the manufacture, distribution, possession, importation, and exportation of these synthetic cannabinoids.
Cannabinoids are a class of chemical compounds in marijuana plnt that are structurally related. THC is the primary psychoactive constituent of marijuana. Synthetic cannabinoids are a large family of chemically unrelated structures functionally (biologically) similar to THC, the active principle in marijuana.

“Marijuana remains a big problem today for kids. Everyone thinks it’s the safe drug, since it’s approved for medicinal purposes, and it was nearly legalized in the state of California last November, ” says Stahovich. Stahovich, who has years of treatment in his background before moving into the diagnostics side, says that kids have a nonchalant attitude about marijuana. “Kids think marijuana is harmless. What they don’t see is that marijuana can be a gateway drug to other substances. Teens don’t just try cocaine and heroin out of the blue. They’ve usually been a frequent marijuana user before stepping up to the heavier substances.”
Stahovich says the signs of drug use are not always evident, and he that’s why he created a home drug test for families. “I want families to have the solution in their hands. They can be assured that not only will the Teensavers Home Drug Test Kit detect the drug use, the counselors and follow up action provided with the kit, will help find the right treatment for the entire family. It is the total solution for the family.”

KNOW YOUR CHILD.  IF YOU DON’T KNOW YOUR CHILD ANYMORE, START WITH A DRUG TEST.

Amphetamines (speed) are drugs that are being abuse by an alarming number of our teens in Orange County.  My estimate is that 80% of the teenagers that I have worked with who are abusing drugs; have abused amphetamines.  These drugs are known on the street as speed, meth, uppers, crystal, crank, coke, free base, toot, blow, flake, snow and lady.

Amphetamines are found in pill form, powder form and crystallized rock.  Our teens are abusing this drug in greater numbers than ever before.  It is cheap and easy to get.

When a person ingests this drug many things can happen:

Dilated (enlarged) pupils

Rapid breathing, speech, pulse and movement

Decreased appetite

Insomnia

Euphoria

Impaired judgment

Paranoia or suspiciousness

Rage

Hallucinations

Seizures

Stroke, chest pain, heart attack or death

Symptoms of withdrawal from amphetamines may include:

Fatigue

Depression

Cravings

Hypersomnia (not sleeping)

Mood swings

Lethargy

Cramps or other pain

This drug has become popular among many teenage girls because it decreases appetite and helps to induce weight loss.

Chronic use of amphetamines can lead to psychosis and many teens have become paranoid to the point of thinking they are being followed or persecuted.  Some have become depressed to the point of attempting suicide.

Amphetamines are highly addictive, and unlike alcohol and other drugs, they “hook” kids faster and deeper.

Our courts in Orange County are inundated with crimes committed by people who were under the influence of methamphetamine.

Here is a list of symptoms that parents can use to determine if their child is abusing drugs, including amphetamines.

Drastic change in grades

Using unfamiliar or suspicious language

Drastic personality changes

Loss of interest in activities that were recently important

Truant, suspended or missing school

Possession of drugs or paraphernalia

Avoiding eye contact

Parents are missing cash or personal items at home

Being secretive about certain friends or activities

Arguments about alcohol or drug use

As a parent of a teenager, you should immediately drug test your child if you

checked three or more symptoms on these checklists.  Use the tensavers drug test.  It’s the most relaible test on the market.  Check out www.myeensavers.com

He’s making the media rounds.   In the last 24-hours, he’s appeared on The Today Show, 20-20, CNN, and even Howard Stern.     Charlie Sheen is flaunting his drug-free life and his mockery of rehab.     The last time we checked, rehab isn’t surrounding yourself with a hot former nanny and a former porn-star.   Clearly, Sheen’s father Martin, and brother Emilio Estevez are not impressed by Sheen’s newfound sobriety.      The father and brother of Charlie Sheen appeared on foreign television to talk about the pattern of Charlie’s behavior, and coping with the trouble-making headlines for decades.

If Sheen really embraced a sober life style, he’d get more help than sexcapdes with two women who are highly unqualified has rehab nurses.   Sheen needs to get constant counseling and medical help.   He appears as if he hasn’t slept for days, looking frail and ghostly on the television appearances.

While Sheen has taken the right first step, stopping his drug use, he needs to make an effort at changing his life permanently.    One home drug test and a lab directed blood test do not free him from years of poor behavior and poor choices.    Sheen needs to continue drug testing, and he needs to get help.

America may be awestruck by Sheen’s bravado and apparent turn of events, but hopefully there aren’t young men out there who wish to emulate the actor’s lifestyle.   Decades of partying do not end overnight.    Years of substance abuse is not flipped off with a switch.    Sheen can be credited for one thing, that’s highlighting home drug testing.    Now he should continue maintaining his sobriety, and continue his use of the tests.

At Teensavers, counselors advocate the Teensavers Home Drug Test Kit for families to use.   Parents can test with their kids so that the teensagers do not feel singled out.   A drug free family is the healthiest environment for children.   It doesn’t do a family any good if a teen is clean and being tested, while the mom is taking Oxycontin or other prescription drugs.    Prescription drug abuse is a rising problem in America.   It is almost an epidemic.   Teens hooked on heroin typically say that they started using with the help of the family medicine cabinet.

If you know someone who has a drug problem, get them the help they need.   Visit Myteensavers.com or click here for information on home drug testing.    Your teens are precious.  Treat them preciously.
